Yasunobu Kawanishi to become new IFASS Chairman

The Secretariat of the International Forum of Accounting Standardsetters (IFASS) today announced that Yasunobu Kawanishi (Accounting Standards Board of Japan) will succeed Liesel Knorr as IFASS Chair.

Ms Knorr, the former President of the Accounting Standards Committee of Germany, has chaired IFASS since 2016 and will hand over the chairmanship to Yasunobu Kawanishi after the regular term of three years following the upcoming March 2019 meeting.
