ASCG’s outreach event on the IASB’s ED/2019/7 General Presentation and Disclosures postponed to early September 2020

The ASCG will host its outreach event on the IASB’s ED General Presentation and Disclosures in early September 2020. The detailed procedures for registration will be announced in time.

On 21 February and 28 February 2020, the ASCG already conducted educational sessions on the contents of Exposure Draft ED/2019/7. The event was attended by around 50 interested parties (see our prior news item).

At the follow-up event, we want to discuss with you – with the involvement of representatives from EFRAG and the IASB – the preliminary views of the participating standard setters and organisations. Also, we seek the exchange to your views on the contents of the Exposure Draft.

The event was originally scheduled for 8 June 2020. Due to the effects of the current covid-19-crisis, the IASB recently has decided to extend by three months the comment period of the Exposure Draft ED/2019/7 (i.e. until 30 September 2020), to give stakeholders more time to respond. Accordingly, the event of the DRSC will now take place three month later in early September 2020.
