ASCG outreach events on IASB Exposure Draft ED/2019/7 – presentation available

On 7th and 11th September 2020, the ASCG, together with representatives from IASB and EFRAG, held public outreach sessions about the content of the IASB Exposure Draft ED/2019/7 General Presentation and Disclosures (web-based sessions).

The main purpose of the sessions was the key topics and proposals of the Exposure Draft. In a lively debate, participants considered various issues related to the Exposure Draft. The IASB suggestions (the proposed new structure of the statement of profit or loss, introduction of new defined subtotals and categories in the statement of profit or loss, proposed requirements on the presentation by function or by nature and disclosures on unusual income and expenses, as well as management performance measures) were largely viewed critically, generally in line with tentative positions of EFRAG and the ASCG.
