Taxonomy Regulation: Consultation of a report with recommendations on the inclusion of new economic activities

On 8 January 2025, the Platform on Sustainable Finance published a draft report with recommendations on the inclusion of new economic activities in the taxonomy and the amendment of technical screening criteria for economic activities already included. This draft can be commented on until 5 February 2025.

The draft neither constitutes a legal document nor an official position of the European Commission. However, the platform embodies an expert panel that advises the European Commission. The report will therefore be finalised by the platform after the consultation and then submitted to the European Commission. The European Commission will then adopt a delegated act that will at least partially implement the recommendations contained in the report and amend Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/2139 and Delegated Regulation (EU) 2023/2486. This delegated act will probably also be subject to public consultation prior to its adoption and publication in the Official Journal of the EU.
