Save the date: ASCG to host outreach event on 31 August on the transposition of the CSR Directive

Following the completion of the legal process around the transposition of the CSR Directive into German Law, the ASCG’s two Technical Committees are working hard on developing implementation guidance. We hope to be able to publish a draft German Amendment Accounting Standard (D-GAAS) No. 8 for public consultation shortly after the upcoming joint meeting of the two Committees to be held on 8 June in Berlin. ASCG to host outreach event on 11 September on the IASB’s DP ‘Principles of Disclosure’

Together with its partner standard-setters from Austria and Switzerland and by participation of representatives from the IASB and EFRAG the ASCG invites all interested parties to a public outreach event to be held on 11 September at the Airport Conference Center at Frankfurt airport. The topic of the event will be the IASB’s Discussion Paper DP/2017/1 Principles of Disclosure. Read more

IASB issues IFRS 17 and finalises the remaining of the four major projects

Following finalisation of IFRS 9 Financial Instruments (2014), IFRS 15 Revenue from Contracts with Customers (2015) and IFRS 16 Leases (2016), the IASB today issued IFRS 17 Insurance Contracts, the last remaining of the four major projects. Read more

Today, the Accounting Standards Committee of Germany (ASCG) submitted its response on the European Commission’s consultation on the operations of the three European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, EIOPA and ESMA). Read more

ASCG submit comment letter to the IFRS IC on IAS 33

Today, the ASCG submitted a comment letter to the IFRS IC, commenting on the tentative agenda decision on an IAS 33 issue that the IFRS IC has taken in its meeting in March 2017. The issue was formerly submitted by our organisation in December 2016. Read more
