IASB 2015 Agenda Consultation – ASCG comment letter published

Today, the Accounting Standards Committee of Germany has sent its Comment letter to the IASB regarding the Request for Views – Agenda Consultation 2015.

The main aspects of the Comment letter include

• the continuation and the completion of the projects dealing with Insurance Contracts, the Conceptual Framework and the Disclosure Initiative, and
• the prioritisation of the IASB’s research activities.

Furthermore, the ASCG encourages the IASB to remain focused on developing principles-based (rather than rules-based) accounting standards.
