EFRAG publishes Exposure Draft of Due Process Procedures for the EFRAG Financial Reporting Activities

On 19 September 2024, EFRAG published the Exposure Draft of the EFRAG Due Process Procedures for the EFRAG Financial Reporting Activities. The Exposure Draft formalizes and specifies the existing due process applied for EFRAG’s financial reporting activities, which were previously only outlined in EFRAG’s Internal Rules. The draft follows EFRAG’s earlier release of its Due Process Procedures for Sustainability Reporting that were published in March 2023.

The Exposure Draft outlines the principles under which EFRAG operates as well as its decision-making process. In EFRAG’s work, stakeholder views are of particular importance. Among other aspects, the Exposure Draft details both mandatory and optional steps for public consultations, as well as the different forms of stakeholder engagement. The Due Process Procedures are to be read in context of EFRAG’s Internal Rules.
