Member of the ASCG Administrative Board appointed to European Corporate Reporting Lab Steering Group

EFRAG has announced that its General Assembly has determined the composition of the European Corporate Reporting Lab Steering Group.

The Steering Group is chaired by EFRAG-President Jean-Paul Gauzès and vice-chaired by Alain Deckers, representing the European Commission.

The group further involves 15 members from a broad range of stakeholder groups and jurisdictions. Albert Hasselmeyer (BASF SE), a member of the Administrative Board of the ASCG, was also appointed to this Steering Group.

The Steering Group is responsible for the work plan of the Lab within EFRAG, the composition and commission of the project task forces and steering of the overall Lab’s activities.

The set up of the European Corporate Reporting Lab at EFRAG in September 2018 was initiated by the EU Commission on the grounds of its action plan on financing sustainable growth. The Lab aims at improving the nonfinancial and integrated company reporting and identifying and promoting best practices.

The first meeting of the Steering Group will be on 27 November 2018.
