Administrative Board of the ASCG establishes new Sustainability Technical Reporting Committee

On 29 November 2021 the Board of Administrative of the ASCG decided to establish a Technical Committee on Sustainability Reporting. This will enable the ASCG to fulfil its tasks in this area within the framework of Section 342 of the German Commercial Code (HGB) in the future.

The ASCG expects numerous papers from the EFRAG Project Task on European Sustainability Reporting Standards in the coming weeks. With the new Technical Committee, the ASCG is now in a position to comment on these papers with broad technical expertise in the area of sustainability reporting.

The members of the expert committee will be announced shortly.

President of the ASCG Georg Lanfermann comments as follows: “This is an important milestone in the reform of the ASCG’s specialist work, after we had already published a new ASCG mission statement in October.”
