ASCG Briefing Paper on the proposal of a European Single Access Point (ESAP)

On November 25, 2021, the European Commission published a legislative proposal to establish a European Single Access Point (ESAP) for company and product data. This access point to be established at the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) is one of the most significant measures of the EU Action Plan to deepen the Capital Markets Union published in September 2020.

With this Briefing Paper (only in Geman) the ASCG provides a brief overview of the content of the legislative proposal, which affects approximately 167,000 preparers or reporters across the EU, as well as more than 200 existing reporting obligations in 37 EU legal acts.

In addition, the ASCG plans to hold an online outreach event in German language on March 16, 2022, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. After a brief presentation of the legislative proposal, a panel discussion on success factors in ESAP implementation is planned. More information on this event will be provided shortly.
