ASCG appoints new Technical Committee on Financial Reporting

At its 49th meeting on 5 December 2022, the ASCG Administrative Board re-elected Mr. Andreas Thiele, Head of Group Accounting Policy Department at Allianz SE, as a member of the Financial Reporting Technical Committee. His term is for a further five years and ends on November 30, 2027.

The election followed the proposal of the ASCG’s Nomination Committee. It was preceded by a public application and tender process (we reported).

“Mr. Thiele has demonstrated his high level of technical and methodological expertise on many occasions in his work on the Technical Committee to date. He brings his many years of experience in the field of preparing annual and consolidated financial statements of insurance companies to the work of the ASCG. I therefore congratulate him warmly on his re-election and am pleased that he is continuing his commitment”, commented the Chairman of the Financial Reporting Committee, Vice Chairman Prof. Dr. Sven Morich on the election.

Since last year’s structural reform of the ASCG’s technical work, the Financial Reporting Committee has consisted of a technical committee for financial reporting and one for sustainability reporting. For the latter, no new appointments were pending at the present time.
