Sixth ASCG Preparer Forum on Electronic Financial Reporting according to ESEF

On 4 February 2021, the sixth ASCG’s preparer forum on electronic financial reporting according to ESEF was held as a video and telephone conference.

More than 60 representatives from ASCG’s members (companies, audit firms and associations) discussed, among other things, the following topics:

• Filing with the Frankfurt Stock Exchange pursuant to § 51 Exchange Rules for the Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse
• Filing with the German OAM (“Bundesanzeiger”)
• Publication of the annual report on the issuer’s website
• Specific questions concerning tagging
• Specific questions regarding extensions, dimension tagging, labels etc.

In particular, the sixth preparer forum served as a platform for discussing the current challenges of implementing ESEF during the current financial reporting busy season. Accordingly, the participants discussed technical, technological, and processual aspects of the ESEF implementation in a Q&A session.

The preparer forum exclusively provides our members with insights into current developments and serves as a platform to discuss issues related to the implementation of electronic financial reporting according to ESEF. We would like to thank our members for their participation and look forward for the seventh meeting of the preparer forum on electronic financial reporting according to ESEF, which is expected to take place as a video and telephone conference in April 2021.
