3. July 2019
On 2 July 2019, the members of the ASCG met for their 32nd General Assembly at the Berlin branch of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
The agenda included the discharge of the members of the bodies of the association, the approval of the annual financial statements for 2018 and the adoption of the business plan for 2020. Furthermore, the resignation of Axel Wehling (GDV) made it necessary to fill the Administrative Board with a new member. The members unanimously elected Götz Treber (also GDV) as a new member.
Following the formalities, the President of the ASCG, Andreas Barckow, gave a keynote speech on the topic “Current developments in reporting in the EU”. In his presentation, Prof Barckow examined the EU Fitness Check and classified the results of the consultation. In a second part he dealt with the EU action plan on sustainable finance. In doing so, he highlighted previous measures and current projects in this policy area. The presentation was rounded off by an examination of the structure and field of activity of the European Reporting Lab @EFRAG.
