20th ASCG Preparer Forum on Electronic Financial Reporting according to ESEF

On 16 December 2024, the 20th ASCG’s preparer forum on electronic financial reporting according to ESEF was held as a video and telephone conference.

Around 90 participants from ASCG’s members (preparers, audit firms and associations) discussed, among other things, the following topics:

• Draft Regulatory Technical Standards published by ESMA amending the regulatory technical standard laid down in Delegated Regulation (EU) 2019/815 (“ESEF Regulation”) as regards the specification of the taxonomies for marking up the sustainability statements within the single electronic reporting format and the markup requirements for IFRS consolidated financial statements,
• Application of the ESEF core taxonomy 2024, and
• Selected questions on technological updates of the ESEF core taxonomy 2024 (in particular as regards the application of the Calculations 1.1 and the Report Package 1.0 specifications).

The preparer forum exclusively provides our members with insights into current developments and serves as a platform to discuss issues related to the implementation of electronic financial reporting according to ESEF. We would like to thank our members for their participation and look forward for the next meeting of the preparer forum on electronic financial reporting according to ESEF which is expected to take place in February/March 2025.
